God on our side in Twenty-aught-six?

Jan 5th, 2006 by Michael

Today’s quotation from A.Word.A.Day:

The problem with being sure that God is on your side is that you can’t change your mind, because God sure isn’t going to change His.
— Roger Ebert, film-critic (1942– )

I’ll give that an Amen! and a thumbs-up. ’Tis far safer to enlist on his side, rather than vice versa.

Here’s to a New Year with boldness and humility, laughs and sobriety, zeal and optimistic realism. Cheers!

"Laurel, an examiner of customs permits, overlooks a suspicious shipment of the herb in the title and eventually finds herself stopping an assassination attempt. Customs inspection does not at first seem like a thrilling subject, but Spence and Waters bring intrigue and humor to the anthology’s second fantasy/detective story."

    • • "One Drink Before You Go"
(first appeared in Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Worlds, 1998)
"Michael Spence's ‘One Drink Before You Go' is an ancient tale as current in appeal as it is age-old. Another gem from Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Worlds."
      — Eugen Bacon, Fictionwise Recommender

On the Internet, nobody knows whether you live in Beverly Hills or Lower Slobbovia … but I'd like to know. Please place a pin on the Frappr map here.
